Commuters will need to find a different way around a busy road in Knox today. The Knox Band Boosters are hosting an Indoor Winter Drum Line competition and will be utilizing Culver Road between Main Street and the library for pedestrian traffic during competition hours.
Knox Band Director Craige Phipps said Knox officials approved the road closure request so students from 13 schools will have a safe walking route from the middle school to the parking lot across from the facility.
Phipps added that the temporary traffic deviation will be in effect from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. CT today only.
