Knox Police K-9 Finds Heroin During Traffic Stop

A Knox man is accused of dealing heroin following a K-9 assisted traffic stop. An officer from the Knox Police Department stopped a vehicle driven by 25-year-old Kurtis Singleton of Knox at the intersection of Klockner Drive and Pacific Avenue in Knox Thursday.

The police report indicates Singleton’s driver’s license was suspended. Additionally Knox Police Department K-9 O’Neill indicated the presence of drugs inside the vehicle.

Officers reportedly found 17 bags of what was later determined to be heroin, along with hypodermic syringes.

Singleton is jailed on charges of dealing a narcotic drug as a Level 4 felony, possession of a narcotic drug as a Level 5 felony and possession of a syringe as a Level 6 felony. He was also charged with driving while suspended, which is a misdemeanor.
