Habitat for Humanity to Build House in Culver

Construction of a Habitat for Humanity House in Culver could begin in 2019.

Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist told the town council members that week that he met with Marshall County Habitat for Humanity officials about a potential project.

“As part of the Sand Hill Farm plan, one of the lots, or a building site at least, will be eligible for habitat construction,” said Leist. “It should be ready on our end next summer, but it takes a year or more for them to get an application in and for the person to do enough of their volunteer hours to be ready to build. They also need time for their budgeting. They recommended that we start trying to help them promote that they’ll have a site active for construction in 2019.”

They need to find an eligible family to begin the application process. Notices and paperwork are posted on the town’s website at www.townofculver.org.
