Knox Board of Public Works Discusses Handbook

The Knox Board of Public Works members reviewed revisions to the employee handbook when they met Wednesday morning.

The Knox City Council members approved the handbook Tuesday night that included several language modifications and the addition of state statutes. Clarification was given concerning the use of sick days, vacation dates, and time compensated days. A policy on social media was also included as well as a policy on reporting sexual harassment.

The city worked with HR Unlimited and Representative Mitch Ripley.

The handbook hadn’t been updated in 20 years.

The Knox Board of Public Works members unanimously approved the revised handbook. In his motion, Steve Dodge reserved the right to correct any grammatical errors in the document or any other obvious wording changes.
