A La Porte County home was destroyed by a fire early Thursday morning.
Firefighters from the Scipio Township and Kingsbury Volunteer Fire Departments, and La Porte County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at 3251 S. Long Lane around 4 a.m. CT where they found the structure engulfed in flames.
The residence was a complete loss as well as the attached garage with two vehicles inside the structure.
The owner of the home was notified of the fire. The homeowner is out of the country on vacation.
The cause of the fire is undetermined, according to fire investigators.
