The newly-purchased police vehicle for the Francesville Police Department will soon be outfitted with a new radar system.
Francesville Clerk-Treasurer Linda Bennett said new decals are being put on the new 2018 Dodge pickup and a new radar system will be ordered. Town Marshal Doug Lee said he is seeking quotes to update the radar system for the new truck. The current system is outdated.
The new vehicle has been in service since February. It replaces a 2009 Dodge Charger on the fleet. The older vehicle will soon be sold at auction along with a piece of equipment from the street department on April 14.
