Culver School Board to Consider Agreements for Help with Possible Referendum

The Culver School Board will continue preparing for a possible operational referendum tonight. Agreements with accounting firm Umbaugh and Associates and law firm Ice Miller to help with the referendum process will be up for approval. An operational referendum is designed to help a school corporation supplement its General Fund, which pays for things like teacher salaries.

Board members will also consider using bond money to remodel the front entrance at the middle/high school and the restrooms near the high school gym. A recreation easement agreement for the new Cavalier Sports Park will also be up for approval tonight. The project would involve upgrading a piece of school-owned property currently used for youth soccer fields, as one of the town’s Stellar Communities projects. The Culver School Board will also consider a data-driven marketing services agreement.

Tonight’s meeting starts at 7:00 EDT at the Culver Schools Administration Office.
