Several area fire departments were called to a Knox manufacturing facility Monday. A fire was reported at Selected Furniture on Culver Road around 11:40 a.m., according to Starke County dispatchers. It reportedly began in one of the bins behind the plant, according to Knox Police Chief Harold Smith.
Multiple fire departments responded, including Knox-Center Township, Hamlet-Davis Township, and North Judson-Wayne Township. They were still on scene, almost three hours after the fire was first reported.
