Eastern Pulaski School Board to Consider Contract Renewals, Get Climate Audit Report

The Eastern Pulaski School Board will consider contract extensions for the corporation’s principals and athletic director during today’s meeting. A recommendation to extend the contracts of High School Principal Rick DeFries, Middle School Principal Ryan Dickinson, Elementary School Principal Jill Collins, and Athletic Director Bill Ball through June of 2020 will be considered.

The school board will also get a climate audit report from Sycamore Educational Consulting. Updates to the corporation’s policies on criminal history checks, student medication, parents’ right to inspect certain non-academic materials, suicide awareness and prevention, and student discipline will be discussed.

Today’s Eastern Pulaski School Board meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. EDT in the Eastern Pulaski Conference/Meeting Center, followed by a work session at 6:15. According to the advance agenda, the work session will be a “general discussion of matters pertaining to the corporation,” including the ongoing asphalt and concrete project, potential future projects, and the next steps in response to the climate survey.
