Knox Board of Works Receives Progress Report Over Various Rental Properties

When Knox Board of Works members met Wednesday morning they  discussed the ongoing repairs being made to several rental properties owned Melvin Zieters.

Back in March, Zieters was issued an “order to repair” on several rental properties including 503 W. Get More Info on more rental property like the  Madison Street, 425 Fear Court, 416 W. Maple Street, 405 W. Lewis Drive and 407 W. Lewis Drive.

Neither Building Administrator Kenny Pfost nor Zieters were present at last week’s meeting. However, Mayor Dennis Estok had a progress report that Pfost wrote and sent in instead.

He read from the update, “407 [W. Lewis Drive] is a duplex and it is the only unit that has been completed. Other improvements are being made at the other rentals and I am in contact.” Mayor Estok stated, “So basically, the last time I talked to Kenny he seemed pretty satisfied with the progress that Melvin is making.”

The Mayor added that the major issue there was an abundance of junk on the property. Pfost’s report indicated that it was all cleaned up and that Zieter passed a final inspection at 407 W. Lewis Drive.
