NJ Town Superintendent Tracks Down Semi-Driver Who Bent Street Sign

North Judson Town Superintendent Marshall Horstmann told council members on Monday that a semi-driver who mowed down a sign in town was found.

Horstmann explained that with the help of Justin Davis, he was told who was responsible for bending the sign at the corner of Lane and Sycamore Streets. The man was located and he provided Horstmann with a check to have the sign replaced.

Additionally, Horstmann told members that he continues to replace the older style meters with more efficient radio-read water meters.

The old meters require crew members to physically go over to the meter in order to get a reading, whereas the new models allow them to collect data while in the vicinity, without having to visit each meter individually.

He submitted a purchase order of $8,442.90 to Utility Supply for 30 more radio-read water meters meters to continue the project. Members approved the P.O. as presented.
