The Medaryville Town Council members opened a public hearing Wednesday night that dealt with the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application for the proposed water tower project.
According to Clerk-Treasurer Judy Harwood, there was no public comment and the council members approved the paperwork to move forward with applying for the grant. The town is seeking a $550,000 CDBG grant with a local match of $323,500 to complete funding for the project.
The new water tower will be built on land the town purchased across the street from the Medaryville Town Hall.
