Speeding Drivers Continue to be Observed on Pulaski County Road 250 North

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department continues to keep an eye on County Road 250 North. Deputies have been monitoring traffic, after a complaint of speeding vehicles was brought to the county council and commissioners.

After numerous cars were found to be speeding during the morning hours, Sheriff Jeff Richwine says they tried observing it in the evening. “That road’s a busier road than I thought it was,” he told the county council last week. “He clocked 120-some people the second time in the evening, and he did write some tickets to those folks. I think he had one that was 86 [miles per hour], and he wrote them for reckless driving.”

The speed limit on Pulaski County roads is 55 miles per hour, unless otherwise posted. County officials are thinking about lowering the speed limit on 250 North or at least installing some sort of signage.
