Projects Nearly Complete at West Central School Corporation

The security and utilization of space projects are nearly complete at the West Central School Corporation.

Work has been done over the summer months renovate the schools to present a more secure entrance into the facilities. Fencing was replaced at the football field and the elementary school parking lot was paved. Outdoor LED lights were installed, the heating and cooling units for the high school cafeteria and band room were replaced, and the north lobby restrooms were renovated.

The roof over the auxiliary gym was also replaced.

Superintendent Don Street said they will be ready to welcome students on Thursday, Aug 9.

“There will be a few areas that will be completed after the start of the school year,” said Street. “Because of these items, the staff will be issued key cards here at the beginning of the year for the entrances. Also, the staff will start wearing badges with their picture on them. Police and fire personnel will be issued key cards as well.”
