McDonald’s to Award Grants during Grand Re-Opening Celebration

Winamac McDonald’s Owner Bill Boldt is partnering with the Winamac High School on Friday, Oct. 19 to award the inaugural Make Activities Count grant. The event is in conjunction with the Grand Re-Opening and ribbon cutting celebration at the McDonald’s restaurant in Winamac which will now feature in-restaurant technology.

Customers will notice a modernized look featuring self-service kiosks and more.

Owner Bill Boldt, along with Winamac High School Principal Rick DeFries and Winamac Community High School Library Media Specialist Karen Butler, will discuss the available MAC grants for teachers and name the recipient of a $1,500 award. MAC Grants will be an on-going program that offers financial support to teachers to make lessons more meaningful for students.

The celebration begins at 11 a.m. ET on Friday at the Winamac McDonald’s restaurant at 600 N. U.S. 35.
