Culver School Board to Vote on Collective Bargaining Agreement Tonight

Teacher contracts will be up for approval when the Culver School Board meets tonight. Members will vote on the ratification of the 2018-2019 collective bargaining agreement, according to the advance meeting agenda.

The school board will also hold a public hearing on the amended 2018 through 2030 bus replacement plan. The school corporation is looking to replace an extra bus this year. The bus in question was originally scheduled for replacement in 2020.

Tonight’s Culver School Board meeting starts at 7:00 EST at the Culver Schools Administration Office, following a 6:00 p.m. study session on energy savings projects. In recent months, the school board has heard proposals from two companies for various upgrades, most notably, the installation of solar panels and LED lighting.

After discussing potential projects during the study session, board members are expected to move ahead with a request for qualifications from guaranteed energy savings providers, during tonight’s regular meeting. Between those two public meetings, the school board will meet in a closed executive session to discuss collective bargaining strategy.
