The Starke County Commissioners will meet tonight where IT Director Richard Franks and EMA Director J. Nier will update the board on the fire department radio communications issue and the Starke County First Responders. Also, they will talk about an invoice from J&K Communications for radios.
Attorney Todd Wallsmith will present a petition to vacate a portion of the roadway at the Cottage Corner Subdivision and Tom Horbach will discuss an unclaimed property lot at Bass Lake. Edwin Buswell from KIRPC will hold a public hearing on a planning grant while EMS Director Travis Clary and Clerk Mary Lynn Ritchie will have their monthly report. Highway Superintendent Rik Ritzler will have his regular report as well as a pier issue at S. Park Avenue West and County Road 210 at Bass Lake.
Other topics to be discussed include health insurance renewal, air handler repair, the 2019 holiday calendar, and the courthouse roof repair and bell tower repair.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. CT tonight in the meeting room in the Starke County Annex Building No. 1 at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
