The Annual Community Christmas Cantata performance is set for this Sunday.
The popular Christmas program will be delivered in two performances. Child of Hope: A Christmas Message of Encouragement and Peace will be presented at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. CT at the Knox United Methodist Church.
Director Nan Folkers said the piece combines the traditional story of the birth of Christ as well as modern challenges people face in day-to-day life. It provides an encouraging message.
Several members of church congregations and communities are a part of the presentation.
The piece will be narrated by Nathan Welter and Betty Jo Nielsen, along with student narrator Bethany Barnes. Brian Liechty is the co-director.
