The Pulaski County Building Department is cleaning up its fee schedule. Building Inspector Doug Hoover told the county commissioners Monday that the current fee schedule is a big improvement from what was in place a few years ago, but it’s very lengthy.
“It was five pages long, and it was very confusing,” he said. “Some of it was duplicate entries and it sort of reflected on fees. So Karla [Kreamer] and I spent a lot of time on the Internet, calling people, and that, and we’ve cleaned it up. And we’ve cleaned it up down to a page and a quarter; I wish I could have had it on one page.”
The updated fee schedule was approved by the commissioners Monday, following the approval of the advisory plan commission last month.
