Winter Storm Warning in Effect Until This Afternoon, Travel Status Remains at Advisory Level

A winter storm warning has been issued for much of northern Indiana as light to moderate snow will continue to fall into this afternoon.

The National Weather Service reports that the Warning will remain in effect until 3 p.m. CT (4 p.m. ET. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 7 inches are expected.

NWS officials add that travel will likely become difficult and winds will result in blowing and drifting snow, causing reduced visibilities. A yellow level Travel Advisory was in effect for Pulaski, Marshall and Starke Counties, As of 1 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: As of 5:30 p.m. ET, the travel status in Pulaski County was heightened to an orange Warning level and Starke and Marshall Counties remained at Advisory status.
