Culver Town Council to Meet Tonight

The Culver Town Council members will meet tonight where they will hold the second and third reading on an ordinance that amends ambulance rates and park rental rates.

The ambulance rate ordinance amendment outlines a 20 percent increase in Advanced Life Support Level 2 involving paramedic duties to $1,020, Advanced Life Support Level 1 involving duties of advanced EMTs to $660, and Basic Life Support to $540.

Advanced Life Support treatment with no transport would be $150, Basic Life Support treatment with no transport would be $50 or at the discretion of the EMS Director, and miles would be determined at $12.50 per loaded mile.

As outlined in the amended park rental rate ordinance, the Damore Amphitheater could be rented at a rate of $155.15 during the beach season from the hours of 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET and $107 during the non-beach season with more flexible hours.  The beach season typically runs from the end of May to the beginning of September.

The Damore Amphitheater could be rented for wedding ceremonies or various other activities with electricity included.

The ordinance also lists facility rental fees and purposes, concession prices, and beach admission, plus information on parking, grills, scheduling and pier slips.

Also to be considered during tonight’s meeting is an ordinance that annexes the Cord Associates property into the town limits.

The Culver Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. ET tonight.  Prior to the regular meeting, the council members will hold a work session at 5 p.m. to discuss joining HGAC Cooperative for purchasing, and the purchase of the aerial fire truck.  Both meetings will be held at the Culver Town Hall at 200 E. Washington Street.
