Eastern Pulaski School Non-Certified Staff to be Paid for Mandatory School Closing

Non-certified staff at the Eastern Pulaski School Corporation will be paid for a mandatory shut down day of the corporation due to extremely cold temperatures on Jan. 30, as explained by Superintendent Dan Foster.

“No employees came to work that day,” explained Foster.  “We do have it in our approved handbook that they can get paid up to two hours for a delay or early dismissal; however, nothing for a day such as this.  To make sure State Board of Accounts would not have an exception with that, we did request the board to approve that pay.”

The Eastern Pulaski School Board members did approve that pay for non-certified staff.

With the approval of pay, teachers would not have to use a personal day, vacation day, or be docked a day.
