Knox City Police Respond to Report of Truck Hitting Home Early Sunday Morning

An intoxicated driver reportedly struck a home in Knox early Sunday morning.

Knox City Police Chief Harold Smith reports that on Sunday, February 10th around 2:45 a.m., officers responded to the 300 block of West Madison Street in reference to a pickup truck that had left the road way and drove into a house.

When officers arrived at the scene, they apparently located a male driver who was identified as 47-year-old Tony Collins.

A preliminary investigation was conducted and as result, Collins was taken into custody and booked into the Starke County Justice Center on the charge of operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
