La Porte County Traffic Stop Results in Three Arrests

Three individuals are in the La Porte County Jail after several drugs and items associated with drug dealing were reportedly discovered during a traffic stop along US Highway 20 last Tuesday.

According to the La Porte County Sheriff’s Department, around 1 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19th, Deputy Andrew Well initiated a traffic stop on a passenger vehicle on US 20, just east of SR 39.

Upon making contact with the three occupants of the vehicle, Wells summoned a K-9 unit to the scene. Deputy Andrew Hahn and his K-9 partner Hokie arrived and conducted an investigation.

The investigation apparently resulted in several drugs and items associated with drug dealing being located.

All three occupants were arrested and transported to the La Porte County Jail where they remain housed on La Porte County Circuit Court bonds.

The driver, Robert Grimm and one of the passengers, Courtney Milby were both charged with the Level 2 Felony of dealing in methamphetamine.

The other passenger, Lauren Milby, faces a Level 6 Felony Charge of identity deception.

Robert Grimm has additional misdemeanor charges listed for possession of a controlled substance and operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license while Courtney Milby is also facing at a Level 6 Felony charge of possession of a narcotic drug.

Police noted that all criminal charges are mere accusations and every person is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
