North Judson Officials Choose Colors and Design for Water Tower Restoration Project

North Judson Town Council members made some decisions related to the water tower restoration project when they met Monday night.

Common Wealth Engineer Intern Sarah Prizio showed the council members the various color combinations that were available.

After some discussion, members decided to just go with lettering on the west water tower that is on the outskirts of town and chose to get a more detailed design on one side of the tower that is downtown.

Councilman James Young made a motion indicating how the design would look.

Young said, “I make a motion that the tanks get painted the bright white, with cadet blue for the ‘North Judson’ lettering and black for the ‘Home of the Bluejays’ and the bluejay head with the colors that coordinate with it.”

He clarified that the colors of the bluejay would be cadet blue and lemon yellow. His motion gained unanimous council support.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe asked Prizio to check into whether there would a significant difference to paint the letters on the west water tower with the same color blue.

Apparently, the lettering color that appears in the initial bid for the work is black. However, if it wouldn’t hike up the price too much, officials indicated they’d like to keep things uniform and go with the cadet blue lettering on that water tower as well.

Prizio said she didn’t think it would cost anything extra but she would look and let them know.
