Kenneth Kemble Remembered during Knox School Board Meeting

The Knox School Board took a few moments this week to remember a longtime teacher and coach. Kenneth Kemble passed away Monday at the age of 75.

During Tuesday’s meeting, school board member Mary Lynn Ritchie offered her condolences and prayers for the Kemble family. “Kenny and Eileen were a big part of our school corporation for many years,” she noted. “Great service, good people. I mean, I remember just walking into the office when I was a young coach and Eileen sitting there. . . . It’s just sad, and I want them to know that our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

Board member Gary Dulin also shared some memories of Kenneth. “Kenny and I go way back,” Dulin said. “He was my seventh grade basketball coach. So that’s been many, many, many years ago. He was a great person.”

Pastor James Adcock also included a special intention for the Kemble family during his opening prayer for Tuesday’s school board meeting.

A Celebration of Life service for Kenneth Kemble will be held tomorrow at 5:00 p.m. CDT at the Knox United Methodist Church, with a gathering of friends there from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
