Oregon-Davis Touts Success with Food Service Program

Efforts to make sure students are getting the proper nutrition were highlighted during Monday’s Oregon-Davis School Board meeting. Board members got an update from Food Service Director Jeff Messer, according to Superintendent Dr. Don Harman.

He says the local community has been a big help for families struggling to pay for school lunches. “You know, we do not have a lot of negative balances from any of our students,” Harman explains. “We’re very lucky that we have some donations, that we keep our negative lunch balances in check.”

Harman adds that O-D’s food service program is making progress with meeting all the federal guidelines.
