Plans are being finalized for next month’s Winamac Town Park cleanup day. Park Manager Dave DeLorenzo told the town’s park board last week that 18 trees have been ordered for planting during the event, and the Winamac Tree Committee has ordered another six trees on top of that.

Proscapes Unlimited is expected to help with the planting. Park Board President Chris Schramm thanked the company for its help. “A lot of people don’t understand the cost of that stuff,” he said. “They provide trailers. They provide the manpower. To bore those holes is very expensive.” Down to Earth Landscape was also recognized during last week’s meeting.

Winamac’s Town Park cleanup will take place Saturday, May 4 starting at 8:00 a.m. EDT. For more information about volunteering, call DeLorenzo at 574-946-4041.

DeLorenzo told the park board that the annual cleanup day has been a huge help to him, since it began a few years ago.
