American Flags Available for Pulaski County Gravesites on Memorial Day

Frain Mortuary is partnering with the Winamac American Legion Post #71 and Winamac VFW Post #1728 to make small American flags available to families to place at a gravesite of a veteran.  While the members of the veteran’s organizations usually complete this task, a gravesite may be overlooked.  If a flag needs to be placed at a gravesite, they can be picked up at Frain Mortuary in Winamac.  The gravesite location will be added to the list for next year.

The Memorial Day ceremony will be Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. at the Pulaski County Courthouse Memorial.  Prosecutor Dan Murphy is the guest speaker with former Eastern Pulaski School Superintendent Dr. Robert Klitzman as the Master of Ceremonies.  Pastor Casey Stephens will provide the invocation and benediction.  The Auxiliary members of the VFW and the American Legion will lay memorial wreaths.

The veterans groups will then visit the cemeteries in Pulaski County for services there.
