The Hamlet Street Department is now back up to two full-time employees. The town council agreed last week to expand part-time employee Bo McIntire’s status to full-time.
McIntire will continue to be paid at his current hourly rate for the time-being. Council members meet in executive session on June 12 to figure out an annual salary, insurance, and retirement benefits.
The Hamlet Street Department has had only one full-time employee since January, when the town council decided not to reappoint former Street Superintendent Fred Rowe and promoted Kevin Leinbach into the position, instead.
