Why Stellar, Why Now? Find Out Today during Constellation of Starke’s Public Meeting

Today’s the day that community members will have a chance to learn more about Constellation of Starke’s mission to receive a Stellar Communities designation.

A public meeting will be held at the Nancy J. Dembowski Community Center in Knox from 1 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

During today’s event, a creative video, an informative power point presentation and a panel discussion will be utilized to answer the questions: Why Stellar, Why now?

The meeting will also include a process overview presented by OCRA representatives and officials from Ball State’s Indiana Communities Institute will be there to engage with the community.

The Constellation of Starke region is made up of Hamlet, Knox and North Judson as well as the County itself and its unincorporated municipalities like the Bass Lake and Koontz Lake communities.

The group working to secure the Stellar designation is looking to get as much public input as they can so the regional development plan will truly represent Starke County’s strengths and needs.

If you’re unable to make it to today’s event, it will be streaming live on the Constellation of Starke Facebook page.
