Culver Community Schools Superintendent Karen Shuman will be guiding a group of nature lovers through a tour of the Lake Maxinkuckee wetlands on Saturday, June 8th.
According to information shared on the event page, participants are asked to be at the Lake Maxinkuckee Environmental Council office by 8:30 a.m. ET. The LMEC office is located at 116 North Main Street in Culver.
Head of Grounds for Culver Academies and Wilson Wetland Manager Dave Blalock will serve as the driver for the tour.
The tour will consist of three small hikes. Due to the presence of poison ivy, people are encouraged to wear tall socks, wet boots and long pants.
