Culver Town Council Approves Proposal for Capital Assets Project

All of the equipment used by the Town of Culver will be accounted for in an updated capital assets plan.

Ten years have gone by since a capital assets report was compiled so now is the time to update the town’s inventory.

Clerk-Treasurer Karen Heim told the Culver Town Council members last week that she received proposals from Baker Tilly, Peterson Consulting and Kieser Consulting Group, LLC for the work.  Heim recommended working with Peterson Consulting as she said the proposal was more encompassing with detail that Heim thought would work best for the Town of Culver.  The cost was less expensive as well.

The base price is $4,350 and for an additional $650 the company would provide a fixed assets policy and procedures manual tailored to the Town of Culver.

Councilman Rich West said it’s important and it will help the council keep track of the life cycle of equipment and assets in terms of doing capital planning going forward.

The council members unanimously approved Heim’s recommendation to complete the capital asset report.
