A plea agreement between the State of Indiana and the defense attorney for Jacob Decker was accepted by Starke Circuit Court Judge Kim Hall Wednesday morning.
Decker, 25, of Knox, pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of methamphetamine as a Level 6 Felony. He admitted to Judge Hall that on Aug. 10, 2018 he was in possession of about a half of a gram of methamphetamine while in the Washington Township area.
The plea agreement called for a sentence of 30 months in the Starke County Justice Center with the entire sentence to be suspended to be served on probation. He was credited with 378 days served in jail.
He told Judge Hall that he’s taken 28 sessions of IOP classes and several sessions of Decision Points, which helps an offender make better decisions in different scenarios in life. He may continue with any programs suggested by the probation department.
