Rensselear Man Found Dead with Multiple Gunshot Wounds at Rural Medaryville Home

An investigation is underway, after a Rensselaer man was found dead at a home near Medaryville Thursday morning. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office says it was called to investigate the death of a 25-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He’s been identified as Brandon Kyle Messer.

The Coroner’s Office says an autopsy has been scheduled for Friday. Information about the cause and manner of death will be released when it becomes available.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department believes there’s no immediate danger to the public. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Sergeant Chris Schramm at 574-946-6655.

Indiana State Police, Winamac Police, Pulaski County EMS, Medaryville First Responders, Good Samaritan, and the Pulaski County Prosecutor’s Office also responded.
