Winamac Council Chooses Contractor to Help with Decker Drive Electrical Upgrades

Electrical upgrades are coming to Decker Drive in Winamac. Electric Superintendent Doug Shorter told the town council Monday that power distribution is being changed from an overhead to an underground system.

As part of the process, council members approved a quote for just over $16,800 from JT Contracting and Mechanical from Leiters Ford for the installation of meter bases and disconnects for the street’s 26 homes. The company submitted the lowest of three bids.
