Hendricks County authorities have apprehended the Starke County inmate who escaped custody Tuesday morning.
Starke County Sheriff Bill Dulin said 32-year-old Bradley Smith was arrested by law-enforcement units there Tuesday afternoon. He will be brought back to Starke County Jail.
Any additional information about the apprehension will be provided if and when it becomes available.
According to the initial report, Smith had been transported to Starke Hospital in Knox for treatment for seizures.
After he was treated and his release was approved, Smith said he had to use the restroom. As he was being handcuffed, he ran out of the emergency room.
He was initially incarcerated at the end of June on felony charges of disorderly conduct, resisting law enforcement and battery by bodily waste.
