Higher-Than-Expected Enrollment Prompts Oregon-Davis to Add Third Kindergarten Class

Oregon-Davis Elementary School’s kindergarten enrollment turned out to be higher than expected. Now, school officials say they’re taking applications for another kindergarten teacher, so they can add a third section.

The information was shared in this week’s Bobcat Blast newsletter. School officials said they’re excited to be able to offer small class sizes to help their youngest learners get off to a great start with their education.

Increasing enrollment has been a big goal for Oregon-Davis. The school corporation lost about 200 students over the past 10 years, which has led to significant budget challenges.
