A public hearing regarding teacher compensation and collective bargaining will be held prior to the Knox School Board’s regularly scheduled meeting tonight.
The hearing involving the Knox Federation of Teachers and officials representing the School Corporation will be held at 6:20 p.m. in the board room located in the east wing of the Elementary School.
The school board’s regular meeting is scheduled to begin there at 6:30 p.m. During the meeting, board members will receive a presentation from the Bowen Center and consider multiple personnel items including new hires, resignations, and transfers.
Additionally, the school board will consider the 2019-2020 classified staff handbook and administrative handbook as well as the 2018-2019 extracurricular financial reports and a donation for delinquent lunch accounts.
Permission to advertise the 2020 corporation budget will also be sought during tonight’s meeting.
Another public hearing is scheduled during the meeting and it will cover the proposed contract of employment for the superintendent of schools.
Additional comments or questions from administrators and board members will be considered prior to the meeting’s adjournment.
