Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Northern Indiana

The threat of snow could lead to hazardous driving conditions over the coming days. The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST.

LaPorte and St. Joseph counties will be under a winter storm warning from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon. LaPorte and South Bend could see a total of eight inches of lake effect snow. Up to five inches of snow is predicted for the Plymouth area, while portions of Pulaski County could get three inches. Very cold temperatures are expected on Tuesday, with highs only reaching about 25.

The National Weather Service says drivers should expect slippery road conditions. Travel could be especially difficult in areas of lake effect snow.
