Knox Man Arrested on Suspicion of Possession of Child Pornography, Child Exploitation

A Knox man is facing several felony charges following an investigation by the Knox City Police Department.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause filed by the Starke County Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 37-year-old Paul Hoover is accused of taking pictures of a nude female child on a phone purchased for him.  The girl was allegedly 10 or 11 years old at the time the incidents occurred, according to the affidavit.  Hoover also reportedly possessed other photos of child pornography downloaded off the internet. 

Hoover is being held in the Starke County Justice Center on a $100,000 cash bond on a Level 4 Felony charge of child exploitation, and two counts of possession of child pornography classified as a Level 5 Felony and as a Level 6 Felony. 

Suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
