Culver Town Council Members Vote to Amend Special Events Permit

The special event permit for the Town of Culver will change slightly.

Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist proposed some minor changes in the permit.

“A lot of times we found that we’re going back trying to nail down some information like signs where exactly do they want to put them and what dates.  We added a little longer question on there for that,” said Leist.

Also amended was information where businesses should be notified if roads are closed for any reason for special events.

More clarification was listed in the permit pertaining to additional costs associated with the event.

“Is there additional fire, EMS or police coverage required?  We’re asking if streets are being closed, if electrical or water access is required.  Trash removal, street clean-up – anything that we can document to clarify the cost.”

The overall fees will stay the same.  A one day event permit is $100 and a multiple day event permit is $250.

The council members approved the amended permit form with a unanimous vote.
