North Judson Town Council Selects Board Officials, Appointments and Liaisons

North Judson Town Council members organized for 2020 when they met for the first meeting of the year Monday evening.

Members voted to retain John Rowe as president and Josh Brown as vice president.

They also addressed who the Town’s appointment to the Starke County Economic Development Foundation board would be, declaring that James Young will serve in that capacity. They also re-appointed Nick Radtke to the position of building inspector.

Members also cast a unanimous vote to continue receiving legal services from Justin Schramm.

Additionally, departmental liaisons were determined. President Rowe will serve as the liaison for the police department, Councilman Young will cover the Fire Department and Josh Brown will be the liaison for the Utility Department.

Clerk-Treasurer Andrew Rowe noted that the council chose to table the railroad committee representative for the time being in order to gather more information about when meetings are held and what position will entail.

Clerk-Treasurer Rowe added that he will be advertising some open positions on the unsafe hearing committee. Anyone who’s interested in serving in one of the five open positions is asked to contact North Judson Town Hall at 574-896-3340.
