Pulaski County Council to Reorganize, Consider Budget Transfers Tonight

The Pulaski County Council will reorganize for 2020 when members meet tonight. In addition to choosing a president and vice-president, council members will also appoint a representative to the Kankakee-Iroquois Regional Planning Commission.

Meanwhile, new County Coroner Jon Frain will formally introduce himself to the county council. He gave a similar introduction to the county commissioners last week. Probation Officer Sandy Lucas is expected to discuss the Drug Free Council, and Sheriff Jeff Richwine will have his regular update.

A pair of budget transfers for the Superior Court and commissioners portions of the budget will be presented for the council members’ approval. They are also expected to schedule a special meeting to discuss the courthouse project. Training on parliamentary procedures and financials will also be discussed.
