Annual Appointments Made by Winamac Town Council

When the Winamac Town Council met for the first time in 2020 they addressed a number of appointments.

The council voted to renew the terms for Tim Murray, Greg Henry and Sherry O’ Conner on the Board of Zoning Appeals and retained Town Manager Brad Zellers as their appointment for the Park Board.

Clerk-Treasurer Melanie Berger will retain her position as the Main Street Representative and was re-appointed to the Northwest Indiana Solid Waste District.

Sheila Jimenez was appointed to a 3-year term on the Community Development Commission of Pulaski County and for the Tree Committee, Don Darda, Judy Heater and Fred Zahrt were retained and Stan Czech filled an open position that was left by Judy Poor.

Town Council President Tom Murray was re-appointed to the Airport Board. He was also responsible for making an appointment to the Winamac Economic Development Commission.

John Simmermaker was appointed to a 4-year term on the Winamac EDC and was also determined to be the Town Council appointment for the Kankakee Iroquois Regional Planning Commission (KIRPC).
