Eastern Pulaski Students with Negative Account Balances Will Now Be Able to Get Regular Meals

Eastern Pulaski students who’ve fallen behind in their lunch payments will no longer have to get an alternative meal. Superintendent Dara Chezem says the school board updated the corporation’s lunch policy Monday.

“I made a recommendation that students be allowed to choose, basically, whatever regular choice of meal they would like if their account is in the negative, rather than having an alternative meal provided,” Chezem explains.

A similar change was made at the Culver Community Schools Corporation in 2018.
