Governor Eases Additional Rules in Response to COVID-19

Indiana is relaxing some more rules, in response to COVID-19. An executive order signed by Governor Eric Holcomb Thursday suspends the Department of Workforce Development’s one-week waiting period before paying unemployment benefits.

It also includes provisions letting those with chronic health issues get a 90-day supply of non-controlled prescription drugs, like insulin or cholesterol medication. Additionally, Medicaid recipients will now be able to use their benefits to pay for ride-sharing services to go to the doctor.

The Governor’s Office says other changes will provide funding flexibility for more home meal deliveries and extend financial deadlines for local government entities.
