More Deaths, Positive COVID-19 Tests Reported in Indiana

The number of COVID-19 deaths continues to rise at an alarming rate.  The Indiana State Department of Health reported 24 COVID-19 deaths on Friday, seven more than on Thursday. 

There have now been nearly 7,000 COVID-19 tests conducted in the state with 981 residents testing positive for COVID-19 by the Indiana State Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and private laboratories.

Almost 340 Hoosiers were diagnosed as announced on Friday with 192 new cases in Marion County.  Lake County had 16 new cases, while Allen, Decatur and Hamilton counties each had 13. 

Kosciusko County and Fulton County officials reported the first COVID-19 cases there.  La Porte has two cases, Marshall County reports three cases, Starke County has one case, Porter County has six cases while St. Joseph County reports 27 cases and one death.  Pulaski County has yet to report a positive case of COVID-19.
