Pulaski County Commissioners Approve $22,000 in Technology Upgrades

The Pulaski County Commissioners have signed off on more than $20,000 in technology upgrades. They approved an agreement Monday allowing Roeing IT Solutions to proceed with the first phase of a technology remediation plan.

Auditor Laura Wheeler explained that the company put the three-phase plan together after reviewing the county’s current technology systems. “In their priority one, it’s about $22,000 for them to get our system up to par, as far as backups and security,” she said. “That is in the budget, so we can pay for that.”

Wheeler said that in the second phase of the plan, Roeing would work with Rowland Design to incorporate IT needs into the planned courthouse renovation.

The commissioners also agreed to let Roeing work with County Attorney Kevin Tankersley to develop IT policy and procedure guidelines. Wheeler said that Roeing’s cost for the process is $150 per hour.
