Pulaski County Human Services to Initiate Drive-Thru Procedure at Food Pantry

Beginning Monday, March 16, Pulaski County Human Services officials will be implementing some restrictions regarding the Food Pantry and the Von Tobel and Westside Center.

Director Jacki Frain says in light of the COVID-19, the Food Pantry will be closed on Monday, March 16.  It will reopen on Tuesday, March 17, but it will transition to a drive-thru method.  This will eliminate the risk of exposure to illness for the staff, volunteers and clients.

The Food Pantry will be open Tuesday, March 17, Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 from  9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.  The Food Pantry will closed Wednesday, March 18.  Call 574-946-6500 to make other arrangements.

Arrowhead Country Transit will continue to operate at this time.

Both the Von Tobel and Westside Centers will be closed for three to four weeks.  Senior Nutrition participants will be provided with alternative meals and Seniors enrolled in the nutrition program will be contacted regarding this option.

Officials at Pulaski County Human Services will reassess the schedule as the situation unfolds.
